Pool power!

It's been a long time since I made it up to Biddle yard.  I had to run up to get some supplies the other day so I grabbed the camera just in case, glad I did.
Just as I drove past the fuel racks,  the hostelers were hanging the blue flags on these units.

With any luck I might see these rolling through El Dorado shortly.  I've seen a few SP units on the Little Rock Line a time or two, but never any Grande units.  Sure hope they make their way south?

With the pending MoPac/WP/Yellow Plague merger, I sure hope these two roads never come under the cross hairs?  What a shame that would be...

I finally scored a couple of cheap DCC ready chassis so I could swap out the older DC versions under the SP units.  This saved me a little time from having to use the TCS CN-GP decoders on them, not that they're hard to install.

The Grande SD45 is one of the newer DCC ready chassis that just needed a chip.

Something Old

Been busy enough that I haven't had much time to get any large projects worked on, but I found a little time to get some locos chipped and running.  I'm expecting a pair of the new KATO F2's shortly and thought I'd get a few of my other older units ready to run by them time they arrive.

Here's a quick video of an A-B-A lash-up of  and FT A/B set with a F7 trailing in the Black & Red scheme on a Caboose hop through Fordyce, AR.
